eagles can beat any team, they also can lose to any team, but I dont think the Vikes are going to have a chance against the eagles.Boozer wrote:It's a weird year, NE not makin it in but Arizona does. The Vikings backed into the playoffs and wound up with just about as good a schedule as they could possibly get, they get the Eagles at home and then if they win they get Carolina (who we beat in the regular season) and then if the NFC championship were against the Giants, which is likely, we just played them and beat them in the last game of the season (though that doesn't mean much if you as NE, heh). I know that they weren't playing for anything, but the only starter they sat was Manning for the second half, and Carr definitely didn't hurt their chances the way he played. I know I'm setting myself up for a HUGE disappointment here but I'm actually optimistic despite the Vikings history of fucking it up every single time, 4 super bowl losses and at least 1 NFC championship blown. I can't even imagine how I'd react if the Vikes won the super bowl, I'd go fuckin ballistic.tyen wrote:I know.
I am trying to decide who's collapse was worse.
Denver had three weeks to win just one game and could not do it. They lost the division and the winners ended up being 8-8
Tampa Bay from the same week had the _chance_ to be the no.2 seed in the NFC. Instead they lost out and not only are they not the no.2 seed, they're not in the playoffs.

Re: The NFL Thread.
The eagles and the vikings are remarkably similar in that both teams are good at kickin their own ass from time to time. If you think the eagles are a better team then the vikings you're mistaken, this game will come down to who kills themselves with penalties and turnovers and who doesn't. Only thing about the eagles that worries me at all is Westbrook, that guy's an amazing football player.ikao@ wrote:eagles can beat any team, they also can lose to any team, but I dont think the Vikes are going to have a chance against the eagles.Boozer wrote:It's a weird year, NE not makin it in but Arizona does. I think they're fairly evenly matched, but the Eagles are on a roll lately. Momentum can be big on the playoffs. A running attack offense can stifle teams with momentum though... should be fun to watch.Boozer wrote:The eagles and the vikings are remarkably similar in that both teams are good at kickin their own ass from time to time. Re: The NFL Thread.
westbrook is dangerous but i really dont see philly running alot in this game. vikes are worse at the pass. i see desean jackson having a big day. along with celek the TE

Re: The NFL Thread.
His rushing isn't the factor that makes him dangerous in this game, especially since Pat Williams will be back. Westbrook is lethal out in the flat and on screen plays and he's an excellent blocker on pass plays which will be crucial if McNabb wants to keep his head attached to his body in this game.deecon wrote:westbrook is dangerous but i really dont see philly running alot in this game. vikes are worse at the pass. i see desean jackson having a big day. along with celek the TE

Well I picked San Diego right...
Definitely did not have Miami right though. Baltimore's defense is even better than I thought and their rookie QB did not hurt them.
I thought Atlanta would have more of a showing.
Picked Phili right. Wouldn't want to play them right now if I am the rest of the NFC.

Re: The NFL Thread.
its not like the eagles are on fire, the giants can come right in next week, and beat us. The eagles have just been getting by all year, and every now and then they will have a game where you think, wow they might be the best team in the league, then they go and tie the Bengals, and we /facepalm. Anyways if we beat the giants, it gives me another reason to rub it in the north NJ/NY area (mets).tyen wrote:Well I picked San Diego right...
